Hamzzi JournalDon't know your exact birth time? You can still look at parts of a Western birth chart. The key is to separate positions that stay the same through your birth date from those that might change.
Check what stayed the same all day
With your birth date and place, check whether each position changed signs during that local day. Several planet signs may have stayed the same. The Moon can change signs during a day, and the Sun can too near a sign boundary. If a sign changed that day, keep both possibilities open rather than picking one from a sample chart.
Set aside the rising sign and houses
The Ascendant marks a position at the eastern horizon for a particular time and place. The houses are also tied to that time. Without a reliable birth time, do not present their labels as known. Some calculators draw a chart using noon as a placeholder; noon is not evidence that you were born then.
Look for a record, then note the limit
If you want the timed parts, look for a birth or hospital record, or a time written down by family. Records differ by place, so you may not find one. You can still use date-stable chart symbols as optional reflection prompts while saying which details remain unknown. A chart cannot establish your character or future.
A few common questions
Can I use noon as my birth time if I do not know it?
Noon can make a temporary chart to inspect the date, but it is not your verified birth time. Do not treat its rising sign or houses as yours, and check whether the Sun or Moon changed signs that day.
